Brandy

a.k.a StytchKitty, StytchKytty, Pussy Cat Princess
Recently dubbed: Best wife in the Universe, Offical WOA Dungeon Mistress, and Queen of boobie sigs.

I'm 30 almost 31, have 3 kids and a husband. I just go a job. I love it. I lived in California for my high school years, moved to Oregon to care for my Grandmother, after she died, I met my husband online and moved to Ohio to live with him about five years ago. I cross stitch, watch anime, write fan fics and am the DNA donar for Ren, though we still haven't figured out how that worked.

Cassandra

a.k.a Artimis and Vamp Cassandra
Rencetly dubbed: Forum Tease, Vampyre Queen, and The flexible belly dancer.

I've always had a hard time writing about myself and I find as I try to write this that something don't change lol. My rl name is Rose though often on the net I go by Cassandra one of my middle names. I'm 26 years old and currently live in Ohio with my fianc‚ and best friend Ren. I am a full time student working on getting two B.S. in web design and e-commerce at Franklin University.

I guess you could say I'm pretty easy going and really like to chat. I can normally be found in the top five posts for every month because I like to work hard at keeping WOA alive and well on Delphi. I'm a bit of an artist, though mostly that deals with graphic design rather then creating my own original art work. I do love my sigs though and can be seen sporting a new month every few weeks or so. I also love pink haired anime girls and use them in nearly all of my sigs.

Other then anime I collect anything eeyore, care bears, stuffed animals, movies, and what ever else my current obsession is at the time lol. Some activities that I like to do include the SCA, sword fighting, chatting with friends, playing computer games, doing some RPG when I can, creating new sigs, and more that I just can't think of right now lol.

The first anime that I ever saw was Legend of the Over Fiend though the first one I ever really liked was Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon is still one of my all time favorites, but a few others have joined the list over time including Blue Seed, Fushigi Yugi, Chobits, Revolutionary Girl Utena, and a few new favorites include Witch Hunter Robin, The Legendary Maiden Ceres, and InuYasha.

a.k.a Kamikaze Hikoushi
Recently dubbed: Creative Princess and Sig Queen

So, you dare ask about the infamous Kamikaze eh? Well, here's the story about a kid from the great white north with too much time and a fearful posting habit. Anyhoo, enough of the weird introductions and such. The name's Cathy, and I'm a bit of an over-worked under paid slave slowly having my imagination and creativity crushed by the conformity of corporate Canada. Er, I mean, I work for a living. LOL! Being the lover of blood, gore and heavy rock that I am, it only makes sense that the first anime I really remember seeing was one that fit the horror genre. Sent to me by a fellow canuck who also had some time to spare, I got to enjoy the delicious plot of Hellsing, all the way up to its cliffhanger at the end of episode 13. *curses* I remember loving that all the characters were so strong and noble, and yet so bad ass and mysterious. Plus what girl could resist the charm of Alucard? *sighs and drools* But there you go, the life of Kamikaze all wrapped up with a nice little bow. *looks at it* Sad when life can be wrapped in a paragraph eh? LOL!

Chris

a.k.a Ren Amok, Buffy, Takeshi, and Angel
Recently dubbed: Girliest straight man, Master of the Realm, Clone of the Year, and Most likely to get spanked.

The Co-Founder, The Wizard Guy, the one who pushed the buttons when Brandy told him to do so, the guy who never posts. Yep that's RenAmok.

Well, RenAmok is one of those fellows known by many names, mostly because we used to all have many names in the old days of Delphi. LOL.

Angel or Ren is his most common nickname. Ren was his nick in high school after the impressions he'd do of the John K character of the same name. When he first used the internet (AOL, $4.95 an hour people) the name Ren wouldn't work alone so he added Amok from the Star Trek episode Amok Time and made the word play against Run-a-muck.

Ren likes to do alot of roleplaying both and Takeshi is one of the characters he uses alot. Takeshi is also the name of his There.com persona. If you see in the forum the thread Where is Takeshi? That game is ours and we made it..lol.

Ren is pretty particular about how you say Takeshi so just remember it's Tah-Kay-She and you be a'ight.

Yep, this is Ren too. Buffy.

Buffy was made originally for a masquerade character and just sorta stuck. Ren uses her alot in roleplaying games and in the Fics here in Worlds.

Well, we all know Ren is a sexy blonde at heart anyway.

This is Chris. He's the guy that does all the typing for Ren's multiple personalities. He lives in Ohio, but hopefully not for too long. LOL. He's been told that Ohio sucks you in by Brandy so one may never know.

He lives with Cassandra (artimis1) and has a son who lives in Washington State.

Living in a country where anime has definetely NOT made a breakthrough, apart from the Pokemon and Digimon category, I really knew nothing about anime when this forum started. I had watched Akira years before but didn't really associate it with Anime as such. Of course I'd also watched The Transformers, but again didn't really think of it as anything but a cartoon.

Then I got dragged to Worlds Of Anime to boost post counts and was quickly losing interest again when someone mentioned Akira and reminded me that I'd liked that one ages ago. This was at roughly the same time as the re-release of the it on DVD, so I got that and enjoyed it immensely. Then I slowly started picking up a DVD here and there, as well as looking into a few fansubs. Early sub favorites included Angelic Layer, which is still one of my favorites, despite certainly being very, very different from Akira.

As My student loans and other consequences of being a student started leaving more and more of a mark on my wallet, fansubs became a larger and larger proportion of my collection and I got much more into that side of the anime scene. Today, I have a column about the fansubbing community at www.animedaze.com

On the forum, I'm one of the few regulars who generally do not post in the game folders, though I sometimes fall into one of the games if I see a clear anime theme in it. But I guess I do sometimes take my obsession a tad seriously.

Outside of the forums and when not watching anime or writing about it, I work at a mortgage bank part time while studying English business communication and international marketing at Copenhagen Business school. Non-anime related hobbies include playing basketball, watching movies, soccer and getting drunk of my ass.

Finally, the condensed form of what turned into a gigantic "short profile".

Name (Real/Online) Lars, Dane, Danespur, SubStandard.

Occupation: Student, part time sales consultant.

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Age: 25

Favourite animes: Akira, Wicked City, Gunsmith Cats, Witch Hunter Robin, anything by Clamp studio.

My column is at www.animedaze (main site) or direct to column

I don't remember when I wandered in here or when I started watching anime. I think I started watching it in either jr. high or high school. I rejoined delphi after getting into an accident and found my way here. I don't know a lot about anime and usually just watch what I can find on the television. I do know that I stay here because some of the greatest people in delphi can be found here.

Recently dubbed: Friendliest member of Worlds

Greetings and welcome to my bio! Thank you for stopping by. ^_^ I hope that you will enjoy reading the bio as much as I've enjoyed writing it. I will start things off by talking a little about myself. Then, I will talk about how I became a fan of anime and how much I love it. Okay, enough introduction. It's time for the main event. So, grab your favorite beverage, get comfy, and jump into my world.

My name is Lori (my member name is FANATIC10) and I live in the United States of America. I am an avid collector. I love to collect dolls, action figures, books (especially mysteries), comics/manga, magazines, currency, trading/game cards, pens/pencils, Scooby Doo items, posters/artwork, etc. I also love music. I listen to a variety of different types of music but, rock, country, and great singers like Bing Crosby, Robert Goulet, etc. are my favorites. My hobbies include: watching TV, reading, writing, singing, arts & crafts, playing on the computer, listening to music, learning new languages, etc. Currently, I am unemployed. One day, I'd love to have a job dealing with the animation world. I would especially like to try voice acting. :)

I have been a huge fan of animation all of my life, so it is no surprise that I eventually got into both dubbed and subbed anime. My friends introduced me to the anime world with a few episodes each of Slayers, Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo, and Ranma. While I liked what I saw, I wasn't `hooked' on anime immediately. I suppose it was because certain aspects were still very new to me. (Besides the fact, that after I got back home I had no more episodes of the animes to watch to get hooked.) Well, time passed and one afternoon I discovered the gem that got me officially hooked -Pokemon. Nothing else was on television, so despite harsh words from critics, I started watching Pokemon. I liked what I saw, kept watching, and became `addicted' to the show. ^^ After Pokemon came Cardcaptors. and then Yu-Gi-Oh!. After my family got another satellite dish (several years after the first one broke), I discovered even more animes thanks to Cartoon Network. I like almost every anime I've seen and I'd love to watch every anime ever made. (And read every manga, too.) lol

R(ed)

a.k.a [LST] Perfect R(ed) and Parabomber
Recently dubbed: Best insect villan ever!

R(ed) is hard to describe as a person, mainly because he's never found out what most people say about him when he is not there. He tends to be rather passive, if not quiet. He's strongly opinionated, even if it's to agree with the current ideas. He claims to have a poisonous sense of humour and an acid tongue, but then again, his favourite advert is one where a pizza delivery boy is run over by speeding traffic. The less said about his "wild side" the better. R(ed) is not arrogant enough to write about himself in third person.

R(ed)'s first foray into Anime' was in the 80s when he was still what could be defined as "cute". Growing up on a diet of ultra-early morning cartoons and Saturday morning TV, Samurai Pizza Cats beamed into his head and the theme song permanently etched it's way into his brain. Or was that toxoplasmosis?

Currently a student in a reasonably respected London university R(ed) feels that he's been in education for far too long. After all, he's been in education since 1987 and it shows. He tends to hang around the biology labs or the computer rooms, attend all the lectures and shy away from any girl that he'd really want to "share DNA" with. Let it never be said that R(ed) is either brave or bold. This may be why he also fancies the pants of Washu (literally?) and secretly may want to kill Tenchi. R(ed) is in the first year of a Genetics and Microbiology Degree and also believes that Anthrax is for wusses and Agent Orange is a great weedkiller.

None the less, R(ed) has had some interesting jobs in his time, he can now proudly say that he's painted himself with mutagens, doused himself with liquid nitrogen, filtered sewage, handled trolleys of radioactive water and taught someone to do the same, without them both dying, of course. R(ed) thrives in a workplace stuffed with novelty, he does remember when the next door warehouse exploded and R(ed) continued listening to his mp3s.

When R(ed) isn't doing his favourite pastimes, which are eating and listening to violent music, he enjoys more passive hobbies, such as tinkering with computers (mainly to play games or surf the web), reading, drawing, and he dreams of writing an l33t best seller, although he's already written it. ;) He would say that he's written for the Voter Apathy Party and he's working on a Webcomic, but he reckons you'd think he's lying.

Being the typical 21 year old (22 in 2004) male, R(ed) enjoys the "redder" side of anime' and so doesn't really get what is so "big" about Plastic Little. He's still at a toe-dipping stage, mainly because being a typical student, R(ed)'s finances are handled worse than his womanising skills. However, he tends to share (or steal) the collection that his younger brother has and personal favourites are Fist of The North Star and Battle Angel Alita (because she reminds him of his cousin).

R(ed) lives in East London, England and lives with two younger brothers, 2 parents, a rabbit and an annoying cat. He personally wishes he lived on his own.

He is still single and doubts it'll change until after he dies.

Steve - age 26 - Married to Brandy a.k.a. Stytchkytty with 3 kids - Leighton (6), Darian (5), and Lilly (10 mo.).

I am the consimate computer geek. I have been working on computer since I was 9 years old. I met my wife on the internet (On irc.dal.net's #chat) back in '97 I went out to visit her in February of '98 and we were married in August of '98. I've worked at an local ISP, a Networking company, and now I am the Assistant Manager of Information Systems a.k.a. Network Administrator at a community action agency (http://www.lacca.org). I am a staunch advocate of Open Source and a seasoned Linux user. I have great disdain for everything Microsoft and offer up alternatives to everyone who thinks they have to keep using Windows and Microsoft programs. However I do understand that some people shouldn't be using computers and if they insist on using computers they should stay on Windows.

My first Anime was Fist of the North Star but I really didn't get hooked until I saw Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Dragonball Z.

Ah the fond memories of Saturday Anime on the Sci-Fi Channel. It was probably one of my first exposures to anime on a grand scale. My dad would sit us all in front of the television (or rather, since TV was a staple at my dad's house, we'd all end up there anyway) and we'd watch Anime from 10:00 to 12:00 in the morning with shows like "Twilight of the Cockroaches," "Akira," and "Vampire Hunter D."

From there I was hooked, and I sought out Anime on any and all Television stations, as I was too young at the time to actually go out and purchase any real anime. I found myself waking up early in the morning for "Dragonball" and "Sailor Moon."

Well, life went on, and all that, and I found myself at Worlds of Anime a little over a year ago, where I quickly became the resident lurker, and probably one of the youngest members of the group.

Ahh, the quiet and complicated Yuki. Such an interesting character, she has all the cool qualities a person could ever want: Mysterious, mischievous, passionate, and yet, a reserved intellectual with a great sense of humor. She also knows a lot about good anime and great new games! Such animes as Gravitation and Fruits Basket were finally introduced to some of us newbies by her. Great girl. :)
